Opportunities for U.S. Companies
India is seeking to rapidly expand its solar power generation capacity as a solution to its electric power deficits. The U.S. Trade and Development Agency sponsored a 12-day India Solar Power Development Orientation Visit (OV) to showcase U.S.-sourced solar power generation technologies, products, and services to the Indian delegation. The OV took place in Anaheim, CA, Denver, CO, Las Vegas, NV, and Washington, DC from October 24 to November 5, 2009.
To facilitate export opportunities for U.S. companies, the OV introduced the delegates to a range of solar power generation technologies and development approaches designed to place additional generating capacity on the grid; these include concentrated solar power systems, buildings-integrated photovoltaic systems, crystalline silicon solar cell/module technology, and thin film solar cells.
Please contact Sarah Ruen for follow-up information regarding the OV.
